This book is intended for Players in concert with the Core Rules to be able to create Characters of the Bard Class. Those who channel magic and feats of leadership through artistic means. As such, Players are advised to read through the Core Rules to understand how the base game plays, alongside the rules for actions, magic, and equipment that they will need during play.
In this document you will find the following sections.
Bards in the World. This Chapter contains lore and details concerning what Bards are, and how they interact with the world, and relevant areas of the wider cosmology it will be useful for the Bards to know about.
Character Generation & Levelling. This Chapter contains the basic information on how to make a Level 0 Character, such as Ancestries, Concepts, Equipment, and Templates.
Alongside these, this Chapter also contains a list of Feats available for Characters as they progress throught their adventures, and rules for Levelling up their Characters.
Bard Backgrounds. This Chapter contains information for assisting in the creation of general narrative Backgrounds for a Character, alongside some aspects that are specifically appropriate for a Bard.
There are also Tables here that make suggestions for Players to help make their Bard more unique compared to other Bards.
Bard Class. This Chapter contains the rules and Class Features of the Bard Class.
Bardic Colleges. This Chapter lists the Bardic Colleges a Bard can take from their 3rd Bard Level onwards.
Appendix A: Feats of Leadership. This Appendix lists the of Feats of Leadership a Bard can learn.
Appendix B: Pregenerated Characters. This Appendix contains a number of pregenerated Bard Characters, that Players can pick up and play with immediately or they can choose to adapt for their own use.
With each Character are example backgrounds, commentary for why choices were made, and suggested Level up paths.
Appendix C: Pregenerated Spell Lists. This Appendix contains a number of pregenerated Bard Spell Lists for different themes and situations, that Players can pick up and play with immediately or they can choose to adapt for their own use.
With each Spell list there is commentary for why choices were made, and suggestions of what spells to add and exchange as the Player gains Levels with this Class.
Appendix D: Cosmology. This Appendix contains an example cosmology that Tables can choose to utilise for their own Campaign's Worlds.
Appendix E: Glossary. This Appendix contains a quick reference guide to phrases and rules from the Core Rules.
Appendix F: Conditions. This Appendix contains a quick reference guide to conditions.
